About // Philosophy

Museum Technologies is founded on the following beliefs:

1. Technology is an enabler, not the end result; it leads only in its ability to stimulate imaginative representations in innovative ways, and to provide ever new techniques to reflect human potential and express what can be imagined.

2. Business is most successful - and communication most compelling - when it is driven by insight into customer and stakeholder needs and wants.

For museums, this means exploiting new technologies in order to bring to life its collections. From this perspective, an enhanced visitor experience, rather than attention to the channel of delivery or choice of interactive device, is at the heart of every business activity. If this is achieved, the result can be a rich and memorable experience, one which individuals will recall intellectually as well as emotionally, thus creating a bond with the sponsor of the experience. We believe this concept is captured in the phrase delivering experience through technology.

At Museum Technologies we recognize that these principles in themselves are not new or unique, but submit that it is rare to find an organisation that puts this premise into action.
